A similarity and difference to installing brick and tile. You need to start on a straight, level surface and if you don’t have one you need to create one. That’s exactly what I did here with this piece of trim. I leveled it and screwed a few constructions screws to hold it temporarily. Because bricks are heavier than tile if I would have tried to just place them on the wall without something temporarily holding them and keeping them straight... well you better believe they would have slid down the wall. Once the adhesive was dry and the bricks weren’t going to move, I removed the trim wood and bricked in place of it. Any questions on this brick process? Clad in mcnearbrick Embarcadero thin brick this special space is just waiting to make music! 🎶 🎻

Fun fact: the violin pictured here was made in the 1700’s (1729 to be exact) and belongs to our very own fearless leader, passed down from his Grandfather. Betcha didn’t know he was a musician! Gorgeous music stand is from anthologyhomecollection
